Who Ate The Pie At Night...
As a break from the Martian, I ended up spending the last couple of evenings sculpting a clay caricature of Sir Patrick Moore, telly's mad octogenarian stargazer, for the weekly Challenge on the inestimable b3ta website.
It was nice to have a task with a clear (and near!) deadline, forcing me to get off my arse and do something! And the feedback on b3ta has been nice too...

This was a comic (one picture): Man standing at the window, gazing at the stars, when his wife asks him with cynial look upon her face: "So you say you know, what message the stars bear for us ?" while the stars in the sky clearly form the words "To hell with you!" (translated, so...).

We don't see enough of Sir Patrick this side of the pond. Do you suppose Michael York added a drop or two of the Noted Astronomer to his performance as Austin Powers' daft boss?
